How we check

RecruitTools is a guide to recruitment software for Australian agencies. Here's where our facts come from and how listings are ordered.

Where the facts come from

Every listing is checked against the vendor's own website: its homepage, pricing, about and contact pages. Each fact sheet shows the date it was checked and lists the pages we read.

Facts we've confirmed carry a yellow highlight. Anything a vendor's site doesn't state says "Not stated", in italics, instead of a guess. When a site blocks automated checks and we've relied on secondary sources, the listing says "Partly checked".

Australian-made

We only call a tool Australian-made when a source confirms it was founded here, such as the company's about page. A Pty Ltd company or an Australian domain isn't enough on its own.

How lists are ordered

The recommended order puts featured listings first, then tools founded in Australia, then tools with an Australian office, then everything else from A to Z. You can also sort lists by name or by when we last checked them.

Featured listings, ads and referral links

Vendors can pay to feature their listing or to advertise on RecruitTools. Featured listings appear at the top of lists and always carry a "Featured" label. Ads always carry an "Ad" label. Some "Visit" links may earn us a referral fee, and are marked as sponsored links for search engines.

Payment doesn't change the facts in a fact sheet: every listing is checked the same way, whether or not the vendor pays us.

Prices

Prices appear exactly as vendors publish them, in the vendor's currency. We don't convert currencies, because conversions go out of date. When a vendor only gives quotes, we say "Price on request". Always confirm the current price with the vendor.

Ratings and reviews

We don't publish star ratings. Where useful, tool pages link to independent review sites.

Logos

Logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify each product. We don't alter them, and we'll remove or replace any logo on request.

Corrections

If something is wrong or out of date, tell us. Vendors can request corrections too; we check every change against a source before publishing it.
